The Kitchen - 2011
The cast and crew of Arnold Wesker's "The Kitchen" won the preliminary round competition at Ipswich High School March 5, 2011. Aside from being one of the three schools moving on to compete in the semi-final round March 19th, Masquers won the following awards:

Spring 2009, Masquers won the prestigious Spotlight Award in the category of "Best Ensemble/Cast." This award is described as the most comprehensive, overall effort of a cast. A unit or group of complementary parts contributed to a single effect including all cast and crew members. Other schools that were nominated included Andover High School, Silver Lake Regional, Cambridge Ridge & Latin School and Newton South High School.
"Singin' in the Rain" was also nominated for two other categories: Andrew Tighe was up for "Best Leading Actor" and Technical Director Peter Kane and his student Technical Director Joey Perullo were up for "Best Scenic Design." Over fifty club members and parents attended the event.
Sponsored by the North Shore Music Theatre, the 4th Annual Spotlight Awards honor New England best and brightest high school students and staff for achieving the highest levels of excellence in musical theatre. This year's program involved 22 high schools and over 1,000 students. The Tony® Award style program were held on June 2 at NSMT with over 24 schools attending. A team of three judges from NSMT evaluate the high school productions to determine nominees for each categories. Masquers production of "Singin' in the Rain" was not able to be judged live due to the financial restraints NSMT was having, so the production was viewed by video with many thanks to NORCOM for providing the copy. asquers has been nominated for Spotlight Awards in the past: In 2006, the first year NSMT produced the Spotlight Awards, Masquers were nominated for "Best Scenic Design", "Best Ensemble/Cast" and "Best Featured Performer" for their production of "The Sound of Music."
