My Disney Experience

Want FAST PASSES? You and your friends want to make DINING RESERVATIONS? Use My Disney Experience for all your needs.

If you register for fast passes, please view the tentative itinerary to make sure that you are getting fast passes for the parks we will be in each day.  Note that everyone must have a buddy at all times... so be sure your buddy is also getting the same fast passes with you!  To get fast passes together students will need to link their Disney My Experience accounts together, that is the only way the fast passes will in all probability be at the same time.  This may take some planning and communication prior to registering for fast passes.  Also note, that if the itinerary changes, you may not be able to use all of your fast passes (there is no penalty, they will just expire).

Walt Disney World 2020 Frequently Asked Questions
  1. When is the trip?  April 28 - May 3, 2020 (Tuesday night through Sunday) AP testing is not until next week. While students will be available for all practice exams and registration, students will miss 3 days of school.
  2. Who gets to go?  All members of North Reading High School who are involved with the performing arts are invited to attend.  It is a first come first serve opportunity; vocal and instrumental music students get first dibs, then theater classes and if we have room left, Masquers is invited to join. Mrs Kane will do everything she can to help every student attend.
  3. What is the cost?  The final cost is $1,400 per person.  It breaks down, approximately, like this:
  • $450 for the direct round trip flight which includes all fees, free baggage check, Disney luggage tags for all students and instruments
  • $250 for all food (breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks) while on Disney property
  • $330 for five nights on Disney Resort and free transportation to all parks
  • $420 for four day park-hopper passes to Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios as well as fees for classes, workshops, performances and adjudication
  • $100 for bus transportation to and from Boston airport and to and from the performance sites while at Disney (fundraised so not counted in your bills)
  • Students and chaperons will have bi- monthly payments.
  1. What does the cost include?  It includes all transportation fees (three different buses and airline), hotel for 5 nights, all meals while at WDW, a 4-day WDW Park Hopper Pass, performance fees, adjudication fees, workshop fees.
  2. Are there any additional fees? Yes. Fast food while at the airports is not included. Souvenirs are not included in the initial meal budget.
  3. How do students get to and from the airport? We will meet at North Reading High School and carpool to Boston. In Orlando, we will take the Disney Magic Express bus from the airport to the park. Students will get a special luggage tag from Disney that they must use. It is all reversed coming home.
  4. When and where the do the groups perform?  We will perform either in the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Downtown Disney or Hollywood Studio.  Dates, times, and location are all decided by WDW. We MUST rent a private bus to take us backstage at Disney during all workshops and performances.
  5. Who gets to chaperon?  North Reading Public Schools Staff members. The chaperons will be responsible for a portion of the trip
  6. Can young/older siblings go on the trip too? No unless they are a part of the performing arts department. We can not take a spot on the airplane away from a high school student for extra family members. In the past, families have coincided a family trip with this trip, but they have had to make all their own arrangements.
  7. Will students be allowed to walk around WDW by themselves?  No. Safety is our #1 priority.  WDW resort is the same size as San Francisco.  Students must stay in groups of 3 or more and typically these are their roommates - but it doesn't have to be. They must stay in the designated parks and around their chaperon as well as adhere to specific group meeting times and call in times.
  8. When can students and chaperons sign up for the trip?  Sign-ups  begin in late May/ Spring of 2019 and will continue until the airline tix are due. A $200 non-refundable deposit and the half slip consent form and NRPS field trip form will be due from each student attending the trip, followed by bi-monthly payments until the trip is paid in full. We can not accept a verbal sign up without money. Without the deposit we WILL NOT hold the spot. No exceptions.
  9. Once you pay your deposit, you will be responsible for the full cost - even if you can not longer attend. If you can find another performing art student to take you place, that's ideal AND you will recoup your money.
  10. All other information will be posted as it becomes available.

Choral Parts for rehearsal - check back

Please practice both with your individual part and with other parts so you can hear how your part lines up. You should be off book (memorized) by now. If you are not, you can work on it over break. We will have testing when we come back during class and the after school rehearsals which are MANDATORY. If you miss the rehearsals you may not be allowed to perform due to not being prepared.
