Description of Musical Pippin (2013 revival)
The protagonist, Pippin, and his father, King Charlemagne, are characters derived from two real-life individuals of the early Middle Ages, though the plot is fictional and presents no historical accuracy regarding either. The musical uses the premise of a mysterious performance troupe, led by the Leading Player, to tell the story of Pippin, a young prince on his search for meaning and significance. The 'fourth wall' is broken numerous times during most traditional productions.
The story revolves around the search for happiness. A young man's plight to figure out who he is and his place in the world around him.

FUN FACTS
This show is PG13 with some adult themes all told under the guise of a traveling troupe of circus acts. Those themes typically go over the head of younger audience members, however you should familiarize yourself with the production before attending just in case. There is mature language. The original production in 1972 said it's best for audience members 8 and above.
The box office is located outside the Performing Arts Center at the end of the main hall known as “Main Street” in the new high school/middle school complex. Those entering from the main rear parking lot (by the gymnasium) should continue down “Main Street” past the gym and cafeteria to reach the box office. Those entering from the high school front door should walk straight in. The Media Center is on your right, the Performing Arts Center is straight ahead (slightly to your right)
Run Time is approx 2.5 hours including one intermission
There will be raffle baskets on display throughout both weekends. The winners will be drawn the Sunday after the last show (Dec 11) and winners will be contacted by Masquers officers within 24 hours. All baskets need to be picked up by Dec 16.
Parking can be difficult. Please plan extra time. You may want to consider dropping your party off at the front door and then drive around for the main parking lot. The walk is significantly less from the high school front door as opposed to the side door entrance by the gym (located by the large parking lot). Additional parking is available in the lower lot down the hill.
