The Masquers Club is the dramatics organization at North Reading High School which produces a musical that competes in the MET Broadway Boston Musical competition "The Marquee", a play that competes in the Massachusetts Educational Drama Guild competition, and participates in the Spring shows, mock car crash, field trips, outings as well as a successful performing arts outreach program from the community.
Masquers is the producing agent for North Reading High School theater arts. All NRHS students are welcome to participate in as many or as few shows as they'd like however to maintain membership, each student must work in some capacity on shows totaling 20 hours throughout the year as well as work with outside venues to fund raise during weekends and summer months. In addition, all members must help fund raise in the winter throughout North Reading and donate baked goods to each performance. Members can contribute in a variety of ways: acting, design, costumes, scenery, stage band, lighting, publicity, tickets, programs and all other aspects which make a show run smoothly.
Meetings are usually the first or second Thursday of every month at 3:05 in A12. Additional meetings are scheduled throughout the year and announced during morning announcements and on the web site.
