Boston University Summer Theatre Institute

APPLY: Just in! Boston University Summer Theatre Institute (BUSTI) has officially extended its application deadline for high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors to April 17!
What's BUSTI? The five-week pre-college experience for high school theatre artists is designed to mirror the first-year BFA experience within the Boston University CFA School of Theatre. The program, which runs this year from July 2-August 5, offers courses in acting, design, theatre for social change, movement, audition, and rehearsal techniques. Students also participate in immersive theatre workshops and create an original piece of theatre.
The program holds space for healing, exploration, dialogue, and adventurous play, celebrating theatre artists' individual journeys and working together to answer the question: How will we become the artists the world needs today?

​The MT Track for Rising Seniors and Gap Year Students offers the opportunity to work with the top Musical Theatre Faculty across the nation and experience University Level MT Training and gain the tools for success in their upcoming College Auditions. The MT Track gives students the opportunity to learn different vocal techniques and styles and the chance to perform potential audition material for feedback on their song choice as well as how to act their song. Don't Wait!!!!! Faculty members of UNCSA’s internationally renowned School of Drama, along with distinguished guest artists, are the faculty in this summer intensive, which emphasizes the process that leads to excellent performance.
