September 12 & 13 - Auditions for Spongebob- high school actors/singer/dancer. See page for audition help of songs and details. Mrs Kane also has lots of books and scores for you to look at if you are at a loss of songs. PLEASE NOTE - everyone will need to dance and everyone needs to sing however not everyone will be cast in those roles. We are looking for people willing to be a team player - with a great attitude and excited to participate in any way.

Everyone going forward- remove nail polish, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, nose rings etc. NO GUM FOR ANYONE~! Cell phones will be collected when students arrive and returned at the end. Newspaper will be here to take photos. Parents, please remember that our rehearsals are closed both in the audience and behind the scenes. We kindly ask that you drop off and wait for your student in the main hallway - even at pick up time.

We will run the show with the professional orchestra tonight starting at 6:30pm. It must start on time. Starting on time has been a difficult thing for this cast and crew. This runs the entire show as if it is a real show. Full intermission etc... please know it could go until 10pm OR LATER!!! This is not open to the public. Do your homework during power block.

The box office opens approx 1 hour before the show - - doors open 20 minutes prior to performance. Parents, family and friends are not allowed backstage before or after the performance. Please know we will help your student be responsible as quick as possible but ultimately it is their responsibility to be organized and quick. Please wait in the main hallway for your students to come up to you. If you need to get an item or message to them, we will have high school ushers/runners who can do that for you. Also note, we collect cell phones until the end of the performance so please do not try to text your student.
Mon, Dec 4 - SPONGEBOB Spirit day. Wear clothing with Logos or dress up like a character (red top, blue jeams and your Krabs)
3-5:30ish full cast reblock show for daytime performances tomorrow. Students (cast, crew, pit) must attend. If you miss this rehearsal or part of it you will not be able to participate in the shows tomorrow.

All students involved in the show (6th -12th graders) have been dismissed from all their classes and are to report directly to the high school theatre at 7:45am in the morning to get ready for the first show. Warmups are 8am sharp. Tech crew must be in all blacks and anyone who runs front of house must be in dress blacks with a tie. Mic check and physical/vocal warmups will happen as usual. First show is at 9:30am for 4-5th graders throughout the district. Lunch is at 11:30ish - so you don't have to get out of your makeup - just get out of your costumes, keep wigs and makeup on and eat in the cafe. You can pack or buy a school lunch with your account pin just like you do at your school. At 12:10ish you will go backstage and get ready for the second show. Next show is 1:30 for the entire middle school. This will run until approximately 2:45pm. Then we get out of costume, clean up and meet in the auditorium. If a high school student needs to run and talk to a teacher after the show and before cleanup please do so but let Mr Kane or Mrs Kane know this is happening. You are responsible for missed work so check your teachers web sites, white boards in the classroom or whatever you need to do to not fall behind.
You will not make your bus today. Please plan on a ride home. We do not have rehearsal after school.

Check the call board for your head shot, things for your parents, extra programs, lost items, tupperware on the floor, etc to take home.

Timeline for TUESDAY -
We have daytime shows all Tuesday at 9:30am and 1:35pm. All students involved in the show (6th -12th graders) have been dismissed from all their classes and are to report directly to the high school theatre at 7:45am in the morning to get ready for the first show. Warmups are 8am sharp. Tech crew must be in all blacks and anyone who runs front of house must be in dress blacks with a tie. Mic check and physical/vocal warmups will happen as usual. First show is at 9:30am for 4-5th graders throughout the district. Lunch is at 11:30ish - so you don't have to get out of your makeup - just get out of your costumes, keep wigs and makeup on and eat in the cafe. You can pack or buy a school lunch with your account pin just like you do at your school. At 12:10ish you will go backstage and get ready for the second show. Next show is 1:30 for the entire middle school. This will run until approximately 2:45pm. Then we get out of costume, clean up and meet in the auditorium. If a high school student needs to run and talk to a teacher after the show and before cleanup please do so but let Mr Kane or Mrs Kane know this is happening. Wed, Dec 20 - all costumes due back washed in fragrance free detergent or dry cleaned. DO NOT Fabreeze it! Check the collar, the cuffs and the armpits for makeup stains and sweat stains. Due to allergies to certain fragrances -there must be a note from a parent confirming it was washed and what it was washed with. Hang them in the high school music hallway by the call board. Check the call board for your head shot, things for your parents, extra programs, lost items, tupperware on the floor, etc to take home.

All students need to do homework when you are not called. Students are welcome to stay all day and do homework while they wait - there are computers in the piano room/ a designated quiet room available for those who need it. But you need to be quiet. We will have dinner for all at 5:45pm. Bring a snacks and a refillable water bottle. This is an exciting time but we need students to stay on top of academics and hopefully at the end of each night - go home and sleep.
